Darren Dannen

Mr. Dannen has been a respected information technology leader with over 20 years’ experience accelerating business performance and providing leadership in securing information technology environment in innovative ways throughout the enterprise.  Passionate about being both customer focus and protecting digital assets, Wellmark was a natural fit.

He graduated from University of Mary with a Master of Business Administration and Capitol College with a Master of Science in Network Security.  Additionally he received extensive training in information security as a Navy Information Professional Officer as a Navy Reservist from 2004 to 2015, serving 1 year active duty in Afghanistan from 2008 to 2009.  He has both his CISSP and CCSP security certification.

Previously he worked at Merrill Corporation in Minneapolis MN as Director of Architectural and Engineering and at University of MN Physicians as Director of Innovation and Security.

He loves to play golf, spend time with his family on trips and is a Star Trek Fan.
